Trouble Connecting?
If you are having trouble connecting to your sensor, please review the following guide. h10s is designed to manage connections automatically, but Bluetooth can be finicky.
Automatic Scanning
h10s does not have a manual "Scan" button. When you open the Connection screen, the app automatically starts scanning for compatible devices (Polar H10, Movesense). Once found, it will attempt to connect.
Connection Status
Watch the status indicator at the top of the screen:
- Scanning: Looking for devices.
- Connecting: Negotiating with the sensor.
- Connected (Calibrating...): Connection established; waiting for signal to stabilize (approx. 10s).
- Connected: Fully operational.
Stuck on "Retrying"?
If the connection fails, h10s will automatically retry with an increasing delay (exponential backoff). If it gets stuck in a loop:
- Tap the Cancel button that appears on the Connection screen.
- Wait a few seconds.
- The app will restart the scanning process fresh.
Connected but No Data?
If the status says "Connected" but the graphs are flat, check the Last Data Received indicator on the Connection screen.
- If it says "0s ago" or "1s ago", data is flowing.
- If the time is increasing (e.g., "5s ago", "10s ago"), the data link has stalled. Try restarting the Bluetooth on your phone.
Common Fixes
- Check Battery: Ensure the sensor battery is not depleted.
- Moisture: Ensure the strap electrodes are moist and making good skin contact.
- Dual Bluetooth: Some devices (like Polar H10) support two simultaneous Bluetooth connections, but others do not. Ensure you are not connected to another app or device if you are experiencing issues.
- Restart: Toggling your phone's Bluetooth or restarting the phone often resolves persistent stack issues.
