Symptom Tracking & Events
h10s allows you to capture specific moments in high fidelity, adding context and symptoms to your heart rate data. This is crucial for correlating how you feel with what your heart is doing.
Two Ways to Annotate
There are two distinct ways to log data in the application:
1. Quick Note (Pencil Icon)
Tap the Pencil icon on the main screen to add a simple text annotation to the timeline at the current moment.
- Best for: Momentary observations or reminders (e.g., "Stood up", "Felt a skip").
- Result: A marker appears on your graph and in the exported EDF file.
2. Record Event (Plus Icon)
Tap the Plus (+) icon to start a 2-minute high-fidelity recording (capturing the minute before and the minute after). This enters "Event Mode" and opens the Event Details screen.
- Best for: Capturing an episode of symptoms (e.g., palpitations, dizziness, panic attack).
- Result: A distinct "Event" saved in your History, complete with detailed metadata and a 2-minute ECG strip.
Event Details Screen
When you record an event, you can add detailed metadata to help analyze it later.
Attributes (Scales)
You can rate various factors on a scale of 1 to 7. These are grouped into:
- Symptoms: Physical sensations like Palpitations, Dizziness, or Chest Pain.
- Context: Environmental factors like Stress, Activity, or Caffeine intake.
To add an attribute: Tap the "Add Attribute" button and select from the available list.
Notes & Tags
- Notes: Free text for detailed description.
- Tags: Comma-separated keywords for easy searching (e.g., "post-meal, workout").
Customizing Attributes
You can configure which attributes are available to select.
- Go to Settings > Events.
- You will see a list of active scales.
- Tap the Plus (+) button to create a new custom attribute (e.g., "Medication", "Mood").
Note: All user-created attributes are currently categorized as "Context".
Advanced Capture Methods
Beyond manual entry, h10s offers automated and quick-access methods to ensure you never miss critical context.
Automatic Activity Tracking
To help correlate heart rate changes with physical exertion, the application can automatically detect your motion state.
- Requirement: You must grant the
Activity Recognition permission when prompted.
- Detected States: Still, Walking, Running, Cycling, and Driving.
- Result: These appear as distinct annotations on your timeline, allowing you to filter out high heart rates caused by exercise versus those occurring at rest.
Quick Settings Tile
For rapid access when you feel a symptom, you can add the h10s Record Event tile to your Android Quick Settings panel.
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open the Quick Settings.
- Tap the Edit (Pencil) icon.
- Drag the "Record Event" tile into your active tiles.
Behavior:
- Tapping the tile while connected immediately starts a high-fidelity event recording.
- It bypasses the app open animation, making it ideal for capturing fleeting symptoms.
- The event is automatically tagged with metadata
